Carlisle Goldfields Limited (CGJ.TO)

Carlisle Goldfields Limited is a Canadian based gold exploration and development company that began trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange on January 31, 2007. Carlisle is the outright owner of a diverse group of mining leases and claims in Manitoba, Ontario and British Columbia.

The company’s initial focus involves further exploration on its approximate 20,000 hectare land position in the Lynn Lake Greenstone Belt of Northern Manitoba where approximately 433,000 ounces of gold and 1,308,000 ounces of silver were produced between 1986 and 1999. Primary focus at Lynn Lake is on the former producing MacLellan Mine where approximately 144,000 ounces of gold and 432,000 ounces of silver were produced. The company is in the process of re-confirming historical geological reserves stated to be in the order of 976,000 tones grading 6.51 grams of gold per tonne. The revised resource estimate is expected to be made available by the first quarter of 2008.
