Canadian Royalties Inc. (CZZ.TO)
Canadian Royalties has initiated the development of an independent, stand-alone nickel-copper mine on its Nunavik Nickel Project, located 20 kilometres south of Xstrata Nickel's Raglan Mine in northern Quebec. Canadian Royalties is proceeding with permitting applications, as well as exploration for additional resources.
Canadian Royalties currently holds a 100% interest in the Ivakkak deposit, subject to a net smelter royalty (“NSR”, refer to news release dated September 21, 2005). Additionally, Canadian Royalties has vested a 70% interest in the Expo-Ungava property; its interest therein shall increase to 80% simultaneously with the creation of the joint venture. Further, Canadian Royalties holds an underlying 2% NSR on the Expo-Ungava
Property.
The name “Nunavik Nickel Project” better identifies the project in that it takes into account the project’s main commodity, its location, as well as the heritage of the Inuit of Northern Quebec. In conjunction with this name change, Canadian Royalties is pleased to unveil the project’s logo, which incorporates the bilingual English – French name Nunavik Nickel, with its translation in Inuktitut.

Mr. Mullan holds a B.Sc. (Geology) from Concordia University and has 22 years of experience in the mining and mineral exploration industry. As a geologist, he has directed exploration programs for precious and base metals, diamonds and industrial minerals across Canada. As an independent prospector, Mr. Mullan has assembled and acquired over 150 mining prospects ranging from grass-roots ventures through advanced-stage projects with mineral inventories, most of which were vended to Canadian Royalties Inc. for its major transaction. Mr. Mullan was instrumental in assembling the properties of the Raglan South Nickel Project.
